Automation and "smart home" technology

Smart home technology can mean being able to schedule simple home tasks such as, automating lighting schemes so that certain your lights in your home turn on and off at convenient times or that your jacuzzi will heat only on the weekends. Green Technologies for Home Theater Design

In response to our increasing concern for the use of Earth-Friendly products and technologies, Innovative Theatres is pleased to offer a wide variety of "Green" products for use in any of our custom or or Pre-Designed home theatres.

As a custom building firm, it is truely exciting to discover and use the extensive array of "Green" product lines that are currently coming on the market.

Interior products including carpet, wallcoverings, fabrics, paints, acoustical panel material, cabinetry lumber and exotic wood veneers and laminates are all available within the "Green Products" camp. Products within this group offer a variety of environmental benefits including high recycled material content, use of "non-threatened" or sustainable materials, low-impact manufacturing methods and socially competent "Fair trade" production agreements. In addition, many of these newly-engineered products actually benefit the consumer with lowered or eliminated chemical emissions that commonly contribute to allergies and ailments from impure interior air.

Theater Sound and Vision

Innovative Theaters is widely acclaimed for the performance and technology the we build into each theater that we create.

The keys to superior theater performance come down to many factors:

Of primary importance is the room design. It is imperative that during any home project design phase the theater room acoustic applications are addressed and designed to perform within a reasonable acoustical standard. The design engineers at Innovative Theatres begin working with the project architects at the very early stages of design to ensure that the theater will have the basic building blocks of performance at the project onset.

Next comes the nuts and bolts. Along with client design discussions addressing the theaters esthetics, we begin to formulate an audio and video plan. This plan has to meet many criteria which involves budgeting, space planning, client prioritizing, esthetics, ease of operation, and equipment quality.

The THX Certified Home Audio Story*

The THX Certification programs provide consumer electronics manufacturers with specifications and technologies for improving the design of high performance home theater products. The goal? To help manufacturers create audio/video products that accurately translate movie, music and video game content to the home environment. The THX engineering team works closely with its manufacturing partners to incorporate the THX standards and technologies into a variety of products, including A/V receivers, speakers and pre-amplifiers. THX also analyzes and pre-qualifies new technologies and components for integration into these products—significantly reducing manufacturers’ research and development costs. Once a product is designed, tested and certified by THX, it carries an internationally recognized performance endorsement, one that helps consumers navigate the complex world of home electronics and make more informed purchasing decisions.

There are three performance categories for home theater products—THX Integrated Home Theater Systems, THX Select and Select2, and THX Ultra and Ultra2. THX Select2 is an upgrade to the company’s original THX Select™ Certification for AV receivers. THX Select2 Certified receivers are designed to address the growing needs of the newest generation of home entertainment enthusiasts, those who crave immersive DVD, music and video game experiences, but don’t require the full benefits of a large, dedicated home theater environment.
